Those who love their movies blood red won’t want to miss Fangoria’s Weekend of Horrors, a two-day tribute to horror movies at the Pasadena Center. Fans will get a chance to meet top names in horror filmdom, including multiple Academy award-winning special-effects artist Rick Baker (“American Werewolf in London,” “Gremlins 2”) and Moustapha Akkad, whose “Halloween” film series has generated enough cinematic blood to float the Titanic. Also scheduled is horror rocker Rob Zombie, who will preview his first motion picture, “House of 1,000 Corpses,” and “Exorcist” star Linda Blair, who will screen her “Blair Witch” sendup, “The Blair Bitch Project.” Other notables include “Exorcist” director William Friedkin, and Kane Hodder, who stabbed his way to fame as Jason in the “Friday the 13th” series. Fans also will get a peak at trailers for “Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows” and other upcoming releases. Other attractions include a film marathon, the “Scream Queens” stage show, a costume contest and gruesome props, collectibles and memorabilia for sale.
