Hells Angel Gets 2 Years for Stabbing

A member of the local chapter of the Hells Angels has been sentenced to two years in prison for stabbing a friend who failed to turn on a hot tub for a party, a prosecutor said Wednesday.

Sabian Reynoso pleaded guilty in June to assault with a deadly weapon stemming from the April 4 attack on Will Geyer, 36, who recovered, according to authorities.

Although Reynoso was eligible for probation, a judge on Monday gave the Oak View man the minimum term.

Deputy Dist. Atty. Bill Redmond said the low term was imposed because Reynoso has no prior convictions for violent crimes.

With credit for time served during this case, Reynoso could be free in about eight months, Redmond said.

According to authorities, Reynoso and Michael Kapp, 27, had been drinking heavily and using drugs when they called Geyer and told him to heat up the Jacuzzi.

At the time, Geyer was living in one of two houses on property where Reynoso and Kapp also resided.

Instead of turning on the spa, Geyer, who was apparently not feeling well, went to bed.

When the pair came home, they beat up Geyer, and Reynoso stabbed him.

Kapp pleaded guilty to battery and was sentenced to one year in jail.

A third man, Brian Applegate, 25, pleaded guilty to theft for stealing prescription medication from Geyer’s home.

He received probation.
