A 22-year-old Inglewood man was arrested at Long Beach Airport on Wednesday morning on suspicion of attempting to board a flight to Des Moines, Iowa, with luggage containing about 22 pounds of cocaine and 10 pounds of marijuana.

Long Beach police said Burghardt Brewster was taken into custody at the America West pre-boarding area after screening equipment detected packages of drugs in his two pieces of carry-on luggage. Officers said the drugs had a street value of $10 million.

Brewster was booked on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs for sale. He was being held on $1-million bail at Long Beach City Jail.
