Mr. Nice Guys

Great article on Travis (“Are They Too Nice to Rock Our World?,” by Robert Hilburn, Aug. 6). As a person who is constantly looking for the “new,” the “different,” the “alternative,” Travis has filled in some of the void I have been experiencing with music lately. As Fran Healy mentioned, on one side of the cliff is the Limp Bizkit-types, on the other the canned, prefabricated Disney pop performers. In the valley are musicians like Travis who wish to tell us about who and what they are.

I can’t stop playing their album.
