PLACENTIA
Council members will hold a session today to discuss the proposed cable franchise transfer from Comcast Cablevision to Adelphia Communications Corp.
The two companies agreed to transfer assets and Placentia was one of the coverage areas involved in the transfer. City officials have been discussing the transfer with the companies’ representatives hoping to keep cable rates as they are and obtain additional benefits for the city, such as opening a production studio there.
The meeting begins at 5:15 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 401 E. Chapman Ave.
