Elderly Woman Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver
A woman described as an elderly Latina was killed Friday morning by a hit-and-run driver.
The woman, who was not identified pending notification of her family, was crossing Van Nuys Boulevard at the intersection of Kewen Avenue when she was struck by a dark green car that probably was a Saturn or Honda, police said.
The driver was described by police as a Latina, approximately 25 years old.
The victim was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where she was pronounced dead.
