Debt and Taxes
The president and the Democrats in Congress have opposed massive tax cuts that would help the richest Americans the most. The Republicans, on the other hand, want to return to taxpayers what is theirs.
Whom does the massive federal debt belong to? It belongs to all Americans and it behooves us to pay off our debts.
Let’s pay off the national debt and secure Social Security before we consider a tax cut. Paying off the debt would benefit all Americans by bringing lower interest rates. This would stimulate the economy much more than giving the fat cats even more and putting the good economy at risk.
