Teenage Girl Dies in Freeway Accident
A 14-year-old girl was killed Sunday night when the car she was riding in collided with another vehicle on the Ronald Reagan Freeway near De Soto Avenue, authorities said.
Three vehicles were apparently racing in the eastbound lanes when the car in which the unidentified teenager was a passenger crashed into another, California Highway Patrol Officer Eric Weinmann said.
No other injuries were reported, said Bob Collis, a city Fire Department spokesman.
The 6:45 p.m. accident remained under investigation by the CHP late Sunday.
