Hillviews 17th Street Florist will give away 2,496 roses Sept. 13 in exchange for donations of canned or boxed food.
The florist will give a dozen roses to the first 208 people who bring in a can or box of food. The food will be donated to the local Blind Children’s Learning Center.
The shop has given away flowers every September for the last three years. This is the first year the shop will accept donations in return.
