AML Enters New Market With Network Product

AML Communications Inc. in Camarillo has branched into a new area with the shipment of its first amplifier to be used in the optical networks industry.

AML officials said they are working with industry leaders to design and supply products destined for the optical high-speed Internet access market.

“We believe [this product is] a natural extension of and complement to our existing hybrid microwave product line,” said Kirk A. Waldron, AML’s president and chief executive. “We believe that AML is positioned to be an influential player in the growing optical market.”

AML designs amplifiers and related products for the global wireless industry.
