Barbeques Galore Profits Fall 55%

Barbeques Galore Ltd., an Irvine chain of retail stores carrying barbecues, fireside products and accessories, reported third-quarter net income of $325,000, or 7 cents a share, down 55% from $716,000, or 15 cents a share, a year ago. Sales for the three months ended Oct. 31 declined 1% to $40.7 million. The company said weakness in its Australian operations affected the results.
