A Dunbar Armored transport guard was shot and killed by robbers in West Hollywood Thursday night.

The driver of the armored vehicle told authorities that he walked out of a post office at 820 San Vicente Blvd. at 7:40 p.m. to find that his car had been stolen, Sgt. Bruce Thomas said.

Deputies searched the area and discovered the armored car abandoned with its engine running on near Harratt Street and Palm Avenue, Thomas said.
