City Hall to Close During Holidays

City Hall will be closed for the winter holiday season beginning Friday through Jan. 1. Emergency services such as police and fire protection will maintain regular hours and staffing levels, and city maintenance crews will be on emergency standby.

But all city administrative offices, including the library and most senior centers, will shut down and reopen Jan. 2. The closures are designed as a cost-saving measure since government business traditionally slows down during the holidays, officials said.

City employees do not receive special paid time off for the closure, and take their days off as their regular paid holidays or as part of their vacation time.

Some city facilities, like Independence Park, the Fullerton Senior Multi-Service Center, Tennis Center and the Janet Evans Swim Complex, will be open on some days during the next couple of weeks. Information: (714) 738-5369 or (714) 738-6305.
