Web expert Rula Razek, who writes a “Where on the Web” column for USA Weekend, headed a team that has put together a handy 120-page guide for sports enthusiasts. The guide critiques nearly 500 sports sites.

Big hubs such as https://CBS.Sportsline.com, https://NFL.com, https://ESPN.Go.com and https://FoxSports.com are included in a section under the heading “Portals.” Of https://FoxSports.com, the guide says, “Streaming video and audio features and lots of hot columnists (like John Madden) set it apart from the run of sports info sites. What can we say? If you need information about sports, you’ll find it here.”

The guide has more than 30 sections that cover everything from baseball to youth sports.

There are sections on coaching, college sports, martial arts, outdoors, water sports and wrestling. The section on extreme sports includes a review of https://EXPN.Go.com, designed for extreme sports buffs. It’s one of 20 sites reviewed in this section.
