2,000 Expected at Holiday Dinner
Employees from the Santa Ana Unified School District expect to feed 2,000 less-fortunate residents at the annual Delhi Center Christmas dinner at Festival Hall on Sunday. Volunteers are still needed to prepare and serve meals and to give out toys at the event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Besides toys, children will be able to take a book home.
Two schools contributed to the 10th annual dinner through fund-raisers. MacArthur Fundamental Intermediate donated $2,152 from a penny drive and Greenville Fundamental Elementary gave $1,286 from a carwash.
The Delhi Center works with the Latino community to improve health and social well-being. Festival Hall, a private banquet facility, is at 220 E. 3rd St. Information: (714) 558-5523.
