Pick of the Week

10:30 a.m. Today:

The great American jazz pianist and composer Dave Brubeck celebrated his 80th year by doing what he has been doing for the last half-century--performing on tour. This 2 1/2-hour live concert and interview, presented by the BBC, features several of the best-known pieces he has written and played, including “Blue Rondo a la Turk,” “A Salute to the Count” and “Take Five.” Joining him for the concert are four of his sons--Matthew on cello, Chris on electric bass, Darius on piano and Dan on drums. The concert will also include the world premiere of a piece by Darius, “Four Score in Seven.” https://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3
