Fair Admission to Rise $1 in 2001
Touting the Orange County Fair as the best family bargain among major Southland attractions, the fair board of directors recently approved a $1 increase in admission prices for 2001.
General admission tickets will cost $7. Children 6 to 12 will be admitted for $3 and seniors for $6.
Fair officials supported their claim by saying a family of five consisting of two adults, two children and one senior would pay $28, including parking. For the same family, admission would cost $202 at Disneyland, $187 at Knott’s Berry Farm and Sea World, and $167 at Legoland.
The fair will be July 13 to 29 at the 160-acre facility at 88 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa. Information: (714) 708-3247.
