Donald W. Bryson; Longtime County Resident
Donald William Bryson, a retired salesman, died Monday at Ventura County Medical Center after an illness. He was 89.
Bryson was born on Aug. 17, 1911, in Rocky Ford, Colo., and had been a resident of Ventura County for the past 86 years.
He worked in sales for Consolidated Rock Co. before his retirement in 1975.
He enjoyed camping and hiking in Yosemite and working crossword puzzles. Bryson was a member of the Saticoy Lions Club.
He is survived by sons Donald and Bill of Ventura; brothers Bob, Richard and Marion; sister Marjorie Spear; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Heart Assn. of Ventura County, 2500 E. Las Posas Road, Camarillo, CA 93010.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home.
