Technology Council Names Chief Executive

Consultant Carol Miltner was named Tuesday as chief executive of the Global Technology Distribution Council, a nonprofit association for computer industry distributors.

Miltner has held executive posts with two leading distributors, Ingram Micro Inc. in Santa Ana and Merisel Inc. Both companies are council members.

Miltner later helped found Impact, an Irvine consulting firm that specializes in sales, training and executive mentoring services.

She replaces David R. Dukes, another former Ingram Micro executive who had led the council since it was established in 1998.
