Laughlin-Wilt Names Program Manager at Unit
Daniel Porter has been appointed program manager at Laughlin-Wilt Group’s Lake Forest facility. He previously held positions at Apple Computer’s computer peripherals manufacturing operation in Garden Grove, at Alps Manufacturing USA’s computer peripherals manufacturing facility in Garden Grove and at Southern Plastic Mold in Anaheim.
* Edward Gallaway has been selected for the new position of plant general manager at Krause’s Furniture Inc. in Brea. Gallaway was previously with Simmons Co., where he was operations manager at the Compton facility. He has also worked as a plant manager for Hunter Douglas in Atlanta, division general manager for Lynn Forest Products in Corona and plant manager for Fleetwood Enterprises in Riverside.
* Charles C. Bream has been named president and chief operating officer of Worldwide Wireless Networks Inc. in Orange. He was formerly a senior vice president at Cable and Wireless USA, a senior vice president and general manager of the telecommunications division at General Research Corp. and president and co-founder of Quarter Phone.
* Grant L. Trexler has been appointed chief financial officer of Mcglen Internet Group in Tustin. Before joining MIG, Trexler was director of finance and administration for El Monte RV, chief financial officer of Creative Computers and senior manager in the mergers and acquisitions group at Price Waterhouse.
* Dorothy Zink has been appointed president of Safe Harbor Exchange Inc. in Huntington Beach. She was previously manager of Mid-Exchange Inc. in Santa Ana for seven years.
* Henry Giclas has been named vice president of science and government affairs for Western Growers Assn. in Irvine. He succeeds Jasper Hempel, senior vice president, who retired. Giclas, who joined the organization in 1990, had been operating the Phoenix field office and directing legislative and regulatory affairs in Arizona.
