John Allen, Del Obispo Elementary School’s principal since 1997, will leave his post to lead Don Juan Avila Elementary School, one of four schools set to open in Capistrano Unified School this fall. Allen said the new position will allow him to direct the opening of Don Juan Avila. Faith Dennis, assistant principal at Wood Canyon Elementary School in Aliso Viejo and former principal at Del Obispo, will take Allen’s place in July.
