Today is the deadline for reserving a seat for Friday’s “Romance Writers Tea” at the Central Library.

Featured guests will read and sign their books from 2 to 4 p.m. in Rooms C and D of the library, 7111 Talbert Ave. Carol Givner of Pacific Palisades is the author of “Steam Heat,” “Kiss and Don’t Tell,” “In the Buff” and “Bing, Bang, Boom.” Long Beach resident Heather Cullman wrote “For All Eternity” and “A Perfect Scoundrel.” Lauren Royal of Irvine has published “Amethyst,” set in London in the 1600s.
