* Raytheon said it has been eliminated from a competition to upgrade the Defense Department’s top missile-warning command centers. Lockheed Martin will compete with TRW for work worth as much as $1.5 billion over 15 years. The winner will be announced in September. The winner will use off-the-shelf software to upgrade and tie together the command and control networks linking 40 disparate systems used by the U.S. Space Command and North American Aerospace Defense Command at their Colorado Springs, Colo., headquarters.
