Teen Challenge Plans Graduation

Share

Teen Challenge will hold a graduation service and banquet Saturday at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.

The goal of Teen Challenge is to assist people having problems with drugs, alcohol and families by providing a sanctuary through classes, counseling, education, job-skill training and preparation for family responsibilities.

Teen Challenge participants, including those mandated by the court as an alternative to jail, stay one year and participate in drug-prevention outreach to the community and schools. The goal is to aid as many as possible. This year there will be 23 graduates.

Tickets are $5 for adults and children, though the program’s subject matter may be too mature for youngsters. Advance tickets are required.
