* Habitat for Humanity is looking for low-income families to live in homes scheduled to be built in Orange County this year. Applicants must live in substandard housing and have a steady source of income. Families chosen pay 1% down and get a no-interest 20- to 30-year mortgage. In addition, families must contribute 600 hours of labor, called “sweat equity,” by building their own home or the home of another Habitat family, or by working in another Habitat organization.
