The City Council will hear the public’s opinion on televising meetings Tuesday night.
Serving on a council subcommittee, council members John Holmberg and Dorothy Rush have been working with cable providers to determine the possibility of providing the televised meetings on local cable television.
“We’ve been talking with representatives from Adelphia Cable about the different parts that we’ll need and the total cost,” Rush said. “It’s not a matter of just putting a camera up in the room.” The cost of televising council meetings has not been determined, since it depends on how the system is set up.
