DANA POINT
The parking problems plaguing the area surrounding Dana Hills High School will be revisited by the City Council tonight. The council will discuss changing the roadway striping on Stonehill Drive between Street of the Golden Lantern and Street of the Blue Lantern to provide more curbside parking near the crowded high school.
The re-striping would add 28 parking spaces on the north side of the street, and would not reduce the number of lanes on the thoroughfare, according to city staff. The lack of parking has grown more severe in recent years as the school’s attendance has skyrocketed.
The council will meet at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 33282 Street of the Golden Lantern.
