Youbet.com Inc., a Los Angeles-based online sports wagering site, has tapped A.L. Frank as president. He previously was president and founder of Onyx Software Inc.

Iwin.com, a Los Angeles-based interactive entertainment site, has named Mike Beck chief financial officer. He previously was managing director of NM Rothschild & Sons, a subsidiary of investment banker Rothschild Group.

El Segundo-based Hawthorne Financial, the holding company of South Bay-based bank Hawthorne Savings, has appointed Daniel Ravalcaba, formerly of California National Bank in Beverly Hills, executive vice president and chief credit officer. The bank also named Eileen Lyon, former partner at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.

Los Angeles-based Lowe Enterprises Inc. has named Bradford Howe senior vice president and chief financial officer of Lowe Hospitality Group, its hotel and resort management and development affiliate. Howe was director of finance and capital markets for Equity International Properties, a subsidiary of EGI Capital Markets.

Kenneth Abrams has joined Global Icons as executive vice president of sales and marketing of its Kids Division. Abrams, who was vice president of consumer products at Marvel Entertainment in New York, is responsible for launching a children’s division of the celebrity licensing and merchandising specialty firm.
