STANTON
The City Council voted to become the second city to withdraw from a study examining the advantages and disadvantages of creating a new fire service department. The four cities had agreed to look into the feasibility of employing a fire service other than the Orange County Fire Authority. Westminster recently withdrew from the study.
Council members said they will now sign a 10-year agreement with the Fire Authority.
