A children’s animation workshop will be held Jan. 9 at 1 p.m. at the Skirball Cultural Center in conjunction with the exhibition “The Making of the Animated Film ‘The Prince of Egypt’--Drawings, Paintings and Film Stills.”
The workshop, “Create Your Own Cartoons,” will include a presentation from a DreamWorks animator who will share secrets of animation and then help kids to create cartoon flip-books.
Admission to the workshop, recommended for kids 4 and older, is $4 per child.
“The Prince of Egypt,” an animated interpretation of the story of Moses and the exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt, was released by DreamWorks in 1988.
The exhibition continues at the Skirball Center through Feb. 27.
Information: (310) 440-4636.
