6 Men, 1 Woman Wanted on Warrants

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help in locating seven people being sought for several alleged crimes, including reckless driving, escape from a work furlough program and violating probation.

A $75,000 warrant has been issued in Teller County, Colo., for Jeffrey Michael Bodnar, 26, who is being sought for reckless driving, evading arrest and obstructing a peace officer, deputies said.

Bodnar has allegedly said he will harm any law enforcement officer who attempts to arrest him. He is considered armed and dangerous and may be living in Santa Paula, Simi Valley or Oxnard.

Bodnar is white, 5 feet 11, 175 pounds and has blond hair and blue eyes. He may be working a construction job.

James Wearden, 26, allegedly violated his probation on a conviction for auto theft. He last worked as an oil field worker and last lived in the 4800 block of Terrace Avenue in Oxnard. Authorities believe he is now a transient but has family in Oxnard.

Wearden is white, 5 feet 11, 200 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Sharon Richey, 36, who also uses the last name Cook, has allegedly violated her probation on convictions for possessing narcotics and child endangerment.

Authorities believe she is with her husband, Hyland Joe Richey, and they may be living in a hotel. Hyland Richey is also being sought for allegedly violating his parole in Oxnard.

Sharon Richey owns a red Ford Mustang with California license plate 2CKZ351. She is white, 5 feet 3, 120 pounds and has brown hair, brown eyes and a scar on the right side of her torso.

Eloy Mendoza Gonzalez, 24, allegedly failed to appear in court on charges of possessing narcotics and giving a false name to a peace officer. He last lived in the 1800 block of Ocean Avenue in Ventura.

Gonzalez is Latino, 5 feet 7, 145 pounds and has black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of a man on his left leg.

Gilbert Puga, 25, who also uses the last name Cervantes, was convicted of four counts of burglary and placed in a work furlough program. He last worked at an engineering firm in Camarillo but allegedly left his job and failed to return to jail. He is being sought on suspicion of escape and violating probation.

He last lived in the 1100 block of Wood Road in Oxnard. He is Latino, 5 feet 11, 250 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He has a peacock tattoo on his right arm, a woman on his left arm and “SUR” on his stomach.

Mike Angel Montes, 43, allegedly violated his probation on a conviction for possessing a controlled substance. He last lived in the 700 block of Del Valle Street in Fillmore.

Montes is Latino, 6 feet, 200 pounds and had black hair and hazel eyes. He has rose tattoos on both arms.
