Old Buttermilk Pie

I have been enjoying your recipes for years, but I just have to put in my two cents now. I think you left out the best recipe of all of them (“Ten Best: Our Favorite Recipes of 1999,” Dec. 29). I mean the L.A. Unified Buttermilk Custard Pie. That was the best custard pie I’ve ever eaten. I’ve taken it to potlucks and had the same response from other people. (It works well using powdered buttermilk too.) Thank you for my five holiday pounds.
