Sierra Vista School launched a new musical education program called Class Act on Thursday. The program, made possible by a partnership between the school and the Pacific Symphony, is designed to expose elementary students to symphonic music. Marilyn Wright, music teacher at the school, is coordinating assemblies in which orchestra members will perform and talk to the students about music. Class Act assemblies are scheduled for Feb. 15 and 17, March 7 and 9 and April 5.
