Unhappy With Chain’s Service

* I can tell you what is wrong with Rite Aid [“Rite Aid Hiring New Exec Team, Accounting Firm,” Dec. 6]: No customer respect and/or service! My wife and I have visited several Rite Aid stores in the South Bay to buy specials advertised in The Times.

On our last three attempts to purchase these “bargains,” we have been turned away (and turned off) by clerks and managers who basically say, “We’re out of them,” “We’re out of stock” or “They all sold out!” These reasons were all given within one day of the advertised specials’ appearance, and no customer “rain check” was offered or supplied even when one was requested.
