Electrical Short Causes Outage in Parts of Fullerton
An underground electrical short left 503 customers without power in Fullerton on Saturday, but officials said service was restored to the northern and downtown areas within three hours.
The outage occurred about 12:45 p.m. at a vault in the 1000 block of Harbor Boulevard and affected about half of Southern California Edison’s customers on that wiring network, spokeswoman Karen Shepard-Grimes said. She said the failure was due to a “problem with the equipment.”
The outage--which affected residential areas east and west of Harbor--did not cause significant traffic problems or injuries, police said.
