Candidates Forum Set for Wednesday
The public is invited to watch candidates for the District 1 supervisorial seat face off Wednesday at a forum organized by the Ventura Chamber of Commerce.
The question-and-answer session will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Wedgewood Banquet Center in Ventura. Each candidate will give a two-minute opening statement, followed by questions from a moderator. The candidates will then be given an opportunity to question each other, organizers said.
Seeking to replace retiring county Supervisor Susan Lacey in the March 7 primary election are Ventura educator Steve Bennett and Ventura business leaders Rosa Lee Measures and Jim Monahan. If none receives a majority vote, there will be a runoff between the top two vote-getters in November.
The event is free.
