Parents voiced their support for what would be the first charter school in the Capistrano Unified School District at a recent board of trustees meeting.
Leaders of the Journey School Charter Project offered testimonies on the advantages of a charter program, such as freedom from education code restrictions.
Franci Sassin, charter project coordinator, presented information on the proposed curriculum and staff of the school, which would open next fall if the trustees approve.
Trustees will decide Feb. 14.
