Johnson’s Basketball Career Is Tripped Up

Share

The great experiment having All-American football player Travis Johnson of Notre Dame play basketball is over.

By mutual agreement, Johnson left the team after a loss last week to Alemany. Johnson has been unable to devote full attention to basketball because he has been taking frequent recruiting trips for football.

He was a backup center for the Knights. David Hungerford, a 6-6 junior, has been a solid starter for the Knights, especially on defense. He made two steals in the final three minutes during a victory over Chaminade and 6-9 Scott Borchart on Wednesday night.
