The landscape renovation at the Quail Creek community that has so far removed 645 trees was formally put on hold Thursday after workers allegedly violated a cease agreement for a second time.

A formal notice to halt the landscape renovation was posted at the entrance of the community, said Angela Basch, city code enforcement officer.

“The contractor and the architect could be held responsible if a violation occurs again,” Basch said.

City officials asked the project contractor, Cameron Jones, to stop the landscape renovation last month because he had failed to gain approval from the city for the landscape changes to the community’s 1978 master plan.
