The City Council tonight will review a sample letter to notify residents about enforcing the leash law. The law is in its early development while council members review methods of enforcing it. The law requires dogs on public property to be leashed. Penalties become greater as the number of offenses increases. The first offense could cost a resident $187.50. Three-time offenders would be fined about $287.50. The City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. at 27841 La Paz Road.
