In a special closed session Saturday, the City Council interviewed 13 residents interested in filling the vacant council seat left by former Mayor Juan M. Garcia, who resigned last month.
Council members spent most of the day interviewing the residents in 30-minute sessions to narrow the selection process for Garcia’s unfinished term.
