A fund-raiser for the Griffin Athletic Training Center and Hall of Fame will draw some notable names in sports.
Football coach John Barnes and football boosters and parents are on a mission to raise $300,000 for the new weight room to be built on the high school campus this year. Some athletes scheduled to appear at the event include Robb Nen and J.T. Snow of the San Francisco Giants, UCLA football player Brad Melsby and Brigham Young quarterback Kevin Feterik.
The dinner will be held Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Los Alamitos Racecourse.
