It was bound to happen--Kid Rock, George Clinton, Cypress Hill’s DJ Muggs and Lordz of Brooklyn are among those who have created tracks around moans specially recorded by a series of adult entertainment stars for “Deep Porn,” an album due Aug. 22. Kid Rock’s track features Midori, whom he dated for a while. . . .

Blues Traveler leader John Popper, who had angioplasty last year, is leading a jam-band all-star ensemble called Frogwings, which features Allman Brothers Band drummer Butch Trucks, his guitarist nephew Derek Trucks, and Aquarium Rescue Unit members Jimmy Herring and Kofi Burbridge. A live debut album, “Croakin’ at Toads,” is due Aug. 22 from Butch Trucks’ new label, Flying Frogs Records. . . .

An odd couple--Lisa Loeb and Dweezil Zappa--have teamed up to perform “Goodbye to Romance” for an Ozzy Osbourne tribute album titled “Bat Head Soup.” Others on the album, due in September from Cleopatra Records, include Vince Neil, Jason Bonham and Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister. . . .

Previously unreleased duets of folk singer Ramblin’ Jack Elliott with Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and Woody Guthrie will be featured on the soundtrack for “The Ballad of Ramblin’ Jack,” a documentary by his daughter, Aiyana Elliott. The album is due from Vanguard Records on Aug. 15. . . .

“Heartbreaker,” the first solo album by Whiskeytown’s Ryan Adams, will include a duet with Emmylou Harris and backup singing by Kim Richey, and features Gillian Welch and David Rawlings as the core of the band throughout. It’s due Sept. 5. Meanwhile, Whiskeytown has finished a new album, but release is still pending in the wake of the dissolution of Outpost Records. . . .

Black Uhuru, Toots & the Maytals, Shabba Ranks and Yellowman are among the Jamaican stars who recorded new songs for “Reggae Blitz Allstars,” a collection out Sept. 19, with “Native” Wayne Jobson of KROQ-FM (106.7) serving as executive producer. *
