CYPRESS
Parents and children can celebrate the city’s 44th birthday July 18 at a party on the Civic Center Green, Orange Avenue and Grindlay Street.
The free party will start at 2 p.m. and feature medieval-themed performers, storytelling and arts and crafts.
Cypress incorporated under the name Dairy City in 1956. Residents voted the following year to change the city’s name to Cypress.
