FULLERTON
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 1231 E. Chapman Ave., for Jean M. Askham, 75, a longtime resident and member of the League of Women Voters of Orange County. She died Friday, four days after suffering a stroke.
Askham moved to Fullerton in 1982 and was an integral part in local politics. She was a member of the League of Women Voters for 35 years and completed a three-year term as co-president of the Orange County chapter last month. She joined the league in 1965 in Wayne, N.J.
