X-ed Out

I find it sad that even after all of these years, Jack Kirby doesn’t even get a mention when talking about the creation of the X-Men (“Putting the X-Men to the Test,” by Tom Russo, July 2). Jack Kirby was Stan Lee’s co-creator of the X-Men and many of the superheroes that made Marvel Comics the powerhouse comics company of the 1960s.

Jack was the amazing artist who created the visual look and many of the concepts of not only the X-Men, but the Fantastic Four, the Incredible Hulk, the Mighty Thor and many others. While Lee has in the past acknowledged Jack’s co-creation of these characters, I find it unfortunate that your writer has yet again perpetuated the concept that Lee was their sole creator.
