REGIONAL PEOPLE

* Brian L. Heess has been named vice president of information technology for CUShopper Inc., Glendale. He will be responsible for technology issues, telecom and projects and planning.

CUShopper offers products and financing to credit union members through its Web site.

* Image Entertainment, Chatsworth, has appointed David Borshell to chief operating officer and Barry Gordon to vice president, sales. Borshell will oversee the daily operations of the company and its e-commerce subsidiary and Aviva International, the company’s joint-venture partner for international sales. Gordon has helped increase the company’s e-commerce sales.

Image Entertainment acquires and distributes entertainment properties in DVD format.

* Larry Kern has been promoted to president, worldwide fresh vegetables, packaged salads and fresh fruit, for Dole Food Co. Inc. He will be responsible for all vegetable operations and markets.

Dole produces and markets fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers, and a line of packaged foods.

* Dick Clark Restaurants Inc., Glendale, has promoted two operations officers, Brad Lutz and Paul Cyr.

Lutz has been promoted to vice president of operations. He will continue to oversee all operations, maintain quality and participate in creating marketing strategies for the subsidiary. Cyr becomes vice president of food and beverage. He will oversee food quality control and consistency at all of the company’s restaurant locations, as well as develop new recipes and menu strategies.

The company is a subsidiary of Dick Clark Productions, a television production company.

* Charlie Lombardo has been named national account manager for CIT Systems Leasing, Burbank. He will provide equipment financing for semiconductor, IT and TV/video production equipment for vendors and customers.

CIT is a commercial finance company.

Lombardo is also a commissioner of the Burbank-Pasadena-Glendale Airport Authority.
