SAN CLEMENTE
The City Council has reappointed Carol Bonner to the Planning Commission, completing appointments to the commission for the next year.
Bonner, who recently completed a two-year term on the commission, will finish out the term of former Commissioner Frank Montesinos, who stepped down in June to concentrate on his architecture business.
The council chose Bonner over newcomer Oakely Van Slyke with a 5-0 vote.
The council made three other appointments to the seven-member commission on June 27, but had to hold over filling Montesinos’ spot because the council split 2 to 2 between Bonner and Van Slyke.
Councilman Jim Dahl could not attend the June 27 meeting, leading to the even number of council members.
