Dennis Rodman’s Police Contacts
* Re “Rodman Won’t Be Off to Court,” (July 6):
Prosecutors say they don’t have enough to convict ex-Laker Dennis Rodman of Newport Beach of disturbing the peace. Let’s review:
* 40 house calls from police.
* 36 incident reports over the last year.
* 117 pages of dispatch notes from phone complaints.
* $2,200 in fines.
* A neon sign on Rodman’s house that reads “open” when a party is on.
* Jailed August 1998 for public drunkenness.
* Jailed December 1998 for drunk driving.
Haven’t the Newport Beach police heard of the “infinite strike rule?”
