Council members have rejected an appeal by a resident who said a Wienerschnitzel restaurant approved for the north side of town would bring odors and increased traffic that could endanger preschoolers of a soon-to-be-built KinderCare facility in the same shopping center at Imperial Highway and Rose Drive.
The council’s unanimous support Tuesday of the drive-through contrasted with its earlier rejection of a Wienerschnitzel planned on Chapman Avenue.
“This is a different project where people actually have a choice,” said Mayor Michael L. Maertzweiler, explaining why he was voting in favor of this project.
